Sri Krishna Janmashtami in ISKCON Mangalore is celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm. The preparations begin many months before the festival. The temple will be adorned with colourful flowers and festoons, radiating a festive aura of vibrancy and celebration.
There will be various sevas offered to Their Lordships. There will also be a unique offering of delicacies to their Lordships. Many opportunities are available on this most auspicious day to participate in the grand celebration throughout the day.

The utsavar Deities of Sri Krishna, along with His consorts, are anointed with fragrant oils and given ceremonial abhisheka with auspicious items like milk, yoghurt, ghee, honey, sweet water and fresh juices. They are then smeared with turmeric paste and bathed in Ganges water. Varieties of flowers are showered until the Deities are submerged in a soft bed of flowers.
